This is gift for my friend who requested a gift of either a mermaid or a conceptual piece.  As I am not too good on conceptual design, I opted for the mermaid.  This is my first one, made specially for my Secret Santa friend.

I have to say, I have NEVER redone a whole hair before.  Yes, I love doing hair, but I usually just paint over, painsakenly, over the existing hair.  This was a challenge to be sure, to draw and paint brand new hair.  I spent over two weeks on this, and have over 170 layers.  Whoever is awesome at hair painting, I give you alot, and I mean alot of credit, for it took me forever!

That all being said, I know the hair is not perfect, but, considering its my first time painting brand new hair, I think it came out decent   Hope my Secret Santa likes it, for I spent alot of time on this just for him
